Curriculum Statement

The aim at Trinity Croft is to provide opportunities for children to develop as independent, confident, resilient and successful, life-long learners.

Through the implementation of a broad and balanced curriculum, we aim for our children to have high aspirations to make an active and positive contribution to their school, their community and the wider society, now and in the future.

We know our children and our community well and there is a heavy focus on ensuring that children are not disadvantaged in their education as they sometimes are in other aspects of their lives. Our curriculum is therefore built on a strong foundation of first hand experiences to encourage awe and wonder and natural curiosity, whist ensuring that children are securing the cultural capital they need to be successful throughout their lives.

All pupils, regardless of their starting points are encouraged to expand their skills and knowledge through rich, broad curriculum opportunities. Our curriculum is designed to improve what children know and remember through the delivery of a spiral curriculum in all areas, with plentiful opportunities for over learning and retrieval practice, allowing children to make meaningful links across all their areas of learning.

Parents can find out more about the school curriculum by contacting their child's class teacher and member of the public can contact the school office for more information.

Trinity Croft provides a highly inclusive environment where learners enjoy their education.  Pupils at all levels are helped to achieve their potential.  Our focus on nurture and the ‘whole child’ is key to the success of our curriculum where children are taught to be happy and healthy; both physically and mentally.
